Our First Pillar: You, our client are more than a number - Utah Photographer

There are a TON of ways to run a photography business - which IS a good thing. It allows for photographers to stay true to what is important to them, and it allows for clients to find the ones with whom they are compatible. Some like the shoot & burn model because it's simple, it can be low or high volume (as well as low or high end), and they don't have to worry about as much time and overhead cost. For others, they don't offer digital files at all because, despite the added time and overhead costs, they want their work, your memories, printed and on display - not hiding deep in a hard drive somewhere to rarely be seen and enjoyed.

For me, it is important that I always have you, the client, at the forefront of what I do and why I do it. Which is why I fall more in line with those who prefer print over digital, although I do think there is room for both. There is something within all of us that is drawn to, and connects more to tangible imagery. To look at a physical image of your parent or grandparent, child or spouse has such a different feel and connection than looking at them on a screen. I know, digital files are important to everyone, and I agree that having them is a good thing - but not at the sacrifice of having actual prints.

At this point, you may be saying, "ok great, so....what does this have to do with me not being a number?" This is the essence of what being a person and not a number (in the photography world anyway) means to me. I've been involved with photographers and businesses where the drive became more about "what can we do to get more bodies in the door so there is more money" and that is a problem. Portrait photography is all about the people. What will they have that will last? Are they getting something generations can appreciate? To me, that is why I do this - for you to have something amazing that will last.

You deserve to be treated as more than a number, or a means to an end. You deserve to have someone working with you to create amazing art for your home, office, etc. You deserve to have these memories preserved in a way you can easily take a stroll down memory lane. How will I help you with that
We will now offer/strongly encourage pre-session consultations either at your home, or at our studio depending on whichever you prefer. We are also introducing new options in our collections to include session albums so you have a nice book of your favorites readily available.
